Richard Lawson, 72, of Covington, Oklahoma, was the son of Raymond Richard and Minnie Lou Hon Lawson. He was born on October 7, 1939 in Middletown, Ohio and died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home. On November 6, 1976, Richard married Ruby Colleen Arend in Covington, Oklahoma. Richard retired in 2007 after working twenty years each in the oil field and as a truck driver and three years at Vance Air Force Base. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made payable to the Hospice Circle of Love in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Richard is survived by his wife, Ruby Colleen Lawson five sons, Rusty Lickliter of Louisville, Kentucky, Ronnie Lickliter of Enid, Oklahoma, Rick Lawson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Roy Lickliter of Covington, Oklahoma and Tony Lawson of Moore, Oklahoma four daughters, Dianne Cain of Seminole, Oklahoma, Kem Birosak of Enid, Oklahoma, Sharon Morris of Jacksonville, Florida and JoAnn Evans of Covington, Oklahoma twentyfour grandchildren twentythree greatgrandchildren one greatgreatgrandchild one brother, Larry Lawson of Kansas and two sisters, Karen Highly of Sevierville, Tennessee and Brenda Burns of Middletown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Sebastian his parents, Raymond and Minnie Lawson one brother, Steve Lawson and one sister, Marilyn Haddix.
