Robert Large

Robert A. Bob Large, 87, of Garber, Oklahoma, was the son of Arthur Thomas and Alice Verna Elliott Large. He was born on November 29, 1922 in Eldorado, Kansas and died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma. In September 1970, Bob married Juanita Ruth Green in Garber, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in May 2001. Bob served his country as a member of the United States Army Air Corps. He served from March 19, 1941 to October 9, 1945 during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 80 AF AM the Yorkrite of Enid. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Garber United Methodist Church. Pastor Steve Littrell will officiate. Interment will be in Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. Memorials may be made to the Garber United Methodist Church in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. Bob is survived by one son, Bruce R. Large of Missouri one daughter, Melody K. Bowen of Kansas four grandchildren two greatgrandchildren and one sister, Lea Carder of Florida.
