Rosalie Kime

Rosalie Faye Kime, longtime Perry resident, passed away January 15, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 94.

Rosalie was born May 9, 1920 in rural Perry, the daughter of Jesse Benjamin Bridges and Mary Opal (Spillman) Bridges. She attended the Perry Schools. She was married to Fred Leroy Kime on October 25, 1937 in Perry. Mr. Kime preceded her in death on August 27, 1993.

Rosalie was a member of the First Christian Church in Perry and also had been a member of the Sumner Baptist Church. She had been involved in her community, having been a member of the Ladies of 76 Home Demonstration Club, the Jolly 12 Club, Christian Women's Fellowship and American Legion. She had been a precinct head for many years in Noble County and had driven a school bus for several years. Her enjoyments were sewing, embroidery, baking, flowers, gardening, and she loved being around kids. She also enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Craig Kime and wife Cheryl, of Perry, and Rebecca Jo Moews of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren, Kristopher Lynn Kime, Jason Paul Bootenhoff, Brandon Dean Moews and Taylor Liberty Kime; three great great grandchildren, Avery Paul Hempel, Mackenzie Amoriah Hempel and Rowan Ember Kime; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Wesley Joe Kime; one great granddaughter, Bailey Nicole Kime; two sisters, Mrs. W.O. Marie Gould and Eva Jo Strothman; one great daughter-in-law, Kelly Kime.

A visitation of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 26th at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 North 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Grace Hill Cemetery Pavilion with First Christian Church Pastor, Martin Foster presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry.

Casket bearers are Jason Bootenhoff, Brandon Moews, Kyle Kime, Steve Kime, and Michael Tessman.
