Russell R. Miller, 87, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Bruno H. and Helen M. Hovorka Miller. He was born on September 15, 1924 in Billings, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He spent many years working on his farm in the Billings area. Russell enjoyed following the stock market and watching current events on Fox News. He had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes on the nurses and hospital staff. Russell loved pumpkin pie and the nurses would spoil him and make pumpkin pie for him on his birthday and during the holidays. His love for food included possum and raccoon. Russell loved to travel with his father. Russell was a member of the Billings Christian Church. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Hunter Cemetery in Hunter, Oklahoma. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate. Interment is at Hunter, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Perry Memorial Hospital doctors, nurses and staff who have taken such great care of Russell. Russell is survived by cousins, Mitzi Rodenberg of Drummond, Oklahoma, Rita Peck of Hunter, Oklahoma and Claudine Duncan of Enid, Oklahoma.
