Russell Dean Olmstead, 43, of Austin, Texas was the son of Buell Russell and Martha Mae Casteel Olmstead. He was born February 28, 1968 in Lubbock, Texas and died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Austin, Texas. He had a love for music that led him into a career of video graphing various live bands in Austin, Texas. Russell had a love for animals and skateboarding. Russell was known for his perception, intelligence, and thoughtfulness and was able to visit with anyone anywhere. He will be remembered as a loving partner, son, brother and uncle who enjoyed spending time with is his friends and family. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Lucien United Methodist Church. Rev. Ruth Atterberry will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Lucien United Methodist Church and PAWS in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Russell is survived by his partner Mike Reynolds of Austin, Texas his parents Buell and Martha Olmstead of Covington, Oklahoma one brother, Bryan Olmstead and his wife Fina of Fort Worth, Texas one sister, Brynda Row and her husband Adam of Covington, Oklahoma two nephews, Chase Harmon of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Brandon Row of Covington, Oklahoma four nieces, Brandy Warriner of Garber, Oklahoma, Mandy Harmon Wood and her husband, Tony of Bristow, Oklahoma, Holly Olmstead of Fort Worth, Texas, Hunter Row of Covington, Oklahoma one great nephew Tae Warriner of Garber, Oklahoma one great niece Audrey Warriner of Garber, Oklahoma and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ted and Audrey Olmstead maternal grandparents Howard and Nettie Casteel.
