Susan Shipley

Surrounded by her loving and faithful family, Susan Elizabeth Shipley went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2018.

Susan was born on March 18, 1986 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Jim Shipley and Shelly Payne- Briegge. Her short life was full of adventures and she was bountifully blessed to have been surrounded by people that made a difference in this world.

Susan began her education in Oklahoma City where she attended Special Care and later moved to Perry, Oklahoma and attended Perry Public Schools. Susan graduated from Stillwater High School in May 2006. At the time of her passing, she was employed at MPower in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Susan had a great ear for music and loved all kinds; mostly country, pop, and children's, but her favorite was live acoustical guitar played by her Uncle Bruce. When he strummed and sang, her smile and laughter said it all. Susan also enjoyed sitting at the big family table eating Grandma Janice's good cooking, being read to, watching Sesame Street and spending time with family.

Susan is survived by her parents, Shelly and Dennis Briegge, grandmother, Janice Franklin; aunts and uncles, Gregg and Kathy Payne, Mark and Kim Payne, and Dawn Smith; cousins, Michael, Bryce, Allison, Jeff, Brett, and Jamie; and numerous other great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Susan was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Cleo Payne and Bud Franklin; uncle, Bruce Payne, and infant cousin, Ashton; great grandparents, Ernie and Opal Karcher and Jack and Myrtle Payne.

Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home and will be held on Monday, January 29th at the First United Methodist Church in Perry, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma immediately following.
