Sylvia Wilde

Sylvia I. Wilde, 94, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of James and Elsie Reed Barnes. She was born on May 31, 1916 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and died Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Clark, South Dakota. She was a 1934 graduate of Blackwell High School. On August 4, 1934, Sylvia married Edmund Wilde in Perry, Oklahoma, where they settled on a farm. They moved to Long Beach, California in 1940 where Edmund worked in a shipyard and Sylvia purchased a restaurant. In 1943, they moved back to Oklahoma to set up their farming operation. Edmund died on June 11, 1996 in Perry. Sylvia was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and was active in her later years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, handy work, gardening and race horses. Sylvia moved to Clark, South Dakota to be with her daughter in September 2002. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. William Metz will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Darlene Terrill of Clark, South Dakota eight grandchildren, Kevin Wilde and his wife, Sherry, of Perry, Oklahoma, Leanne Wilde of Los Angeles, California, Deanne Sims and her husband, Ray, of Wylie, Texas, Vickie Mullen and her husband, Michael, of Dallas, Texas, Todd Terrill and his fiance, Lisa, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tony Terrill of Clark, South Dakota, Traci King and her husband, Tom, of Trussville, Alabama and Kim Wilde of Houston, Texas fifteen great grandchildren, Cody Terrill and his wife, Amber, of New Praque, Minnesota, Stephanie Fleming and her husband, Kevin, of New Market, Minnesota, Chance Terrill, Chess Terrill and Chasity Terrill, all of Clark, South Dakota, Roy King and Toni King, both of Trussville, Alabama, Tristan Wilde, Terra Wilde, Tyrin Wilde and Tori Wilde, all of Perry, Oklahoma, Caston Mullen and Ethan Mullen, both of Dallas, Texas, Walker Sims of Wylie, Texas, Georgia Bernard of Los Angeles, California and five greatgreat grandchildren, Zoie Terrill and Kira Terrill, both of New Praque, Minnesota, Nivek Fleming and Briell Fleming, both of New Market, Minnesota and Landon Wilde of Perry, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Wilde two sons, Donnie Wilde and Lonnie Wilde one infant daughter, Janice Kay Wilde and her parents, James and Elsie Barnes.
