Timothy Dewey Vaughan, a beloved member of the Perry community and cherished family man, was called home on October 15, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on February 24, 1953, in Marshall, Oklahoma, Timothy lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a passion for the outdoors.
As a dedicated painter at Ditch Witch of Perry, he poured his heart into his work, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will be remembered by many. Timothy was an alumnus of Billings High School, graduating in 1971, where he began cultivating friendships that would last a lifetime.
Timothy's love for nature was evident in his interests and hobbies, which included hunting deer, rabbits, and ducks, as well as camping, canoeing, and riding motorcycles. These passions were often shared with his family and friends, who will fondly remember the joyous times spent together in the great outdoors.
Timothy is survived by his daughter, Shelley Chasenah, and her husband, Raymond Clyma of Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was also a proud grandfather to Brooklyn Vaughan and partner Maryonna High of Moore; Nichlas Chasenah of Apache; Dakota Clyma and his wife, Elizabeth of Maryland; Jordan Clyma of Hot Springs; Jasmine Vaughan-Buffalo and her husband, Clayton Entz; Jillian Hoxsie; as well as numerous cherished siblings: Robert Simpson; Patsy Streller and her husband, Joe; John Vaughan and his wife, LeAnn; Andy Vaughan; Mark Vaughan and his wife, Anita; Linda Notovny; and Jerry Smith. Timothy also leaves behind a loving circle of nieces and nephews, including Joshua Hubert, Nichole Ramirez, Patrick Barnwell, Sharon Parks and her husband, Neil, Cindy Boman and her husband, Rex, Kimberly Jeter, Dylan Jeter, Bryon Vaughan, Jonathan Vaughan and his wife Trisha, Lacey Carson and her husband, Logan, Timothy Vaughan and his wife, Darcey, Andrew Vaughan, Gracie Vaughan, Hope Vaughan, Hannah Vaughan, Wendy Myers and her husband, Brian, Michael Vaughan, Jessie Vaughan and his wife, Janel, April Smith, and Sara Harper and her husband, Christopher. He also leaves behind his cousin, Curtis White, and close friends, Will Smith and his wife, Kelly, and Robert Webb and special dog Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Patrick Vaughan and Melva Arlene Maloney Vaughan; Wife Mary Lou Vaughan, his daughter, Lisa Vaughan; his sister, Sharon Vaughan; his brother, Mike Vaughan; and his sister, Kathy Smith. Their spirits will undoubtedly welcome him with open arms.
A visitation to honor Timothy will take place on October 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held the following Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Assembly of God Church of Perry. Burial will follow at the Hennessey Cemetery in Hennessey, Oklahoma.
Timothy Dewey Vaughan touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
