Tom McLarty, 75, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on June 11, 2026. He entered this world on April 30, 1951, in Watonga, Oklahoma, born to Pat and Dorothy Koop McLarty.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the Chapel of Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, OK. Pastor Mike Sturgeon of World Harvest Stillwater will be officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Moscow Flats Cemetery in Mooreland, OK. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family in attendance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to receive friends and relatives in the chapel of Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, OK.

Tom grew up in Hitchcock, OK and graduated from high school in Watonga, OK. He loved football and played as a tough defensive lineman for the Watonga Eagles. He was inducted into the Watonga High School Football Hall of Fame – Class of 1969. Tom attended Oklahoma State University and obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1976. While Tom was attending Veterinary School he met the love of his life, Carolyn Carlson and they were married May 3, 1975, in Eureka, KS. They made their home in Stillwater, OK so Tom could finish school. The family settled in Mutual, OK when he became a Veterinary Medical Officer for the USDA. His service career spanned over 35 years. Tom retired in 2019. Tom enjoyed spending time with family, watching OSU sports, camping, farming, ranching, working on tractors and lawnmowers, and working crossword puzzles.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife Carolyn McLarty of the home, three children, Benjamin David McLarty of Ruston, LA, Kathryn Hardy and husband, Trevor of Richland, Washington, Samantha Noteware and husband, Dustin of Enid, OK, two brothers, Danny Mike McLarty and wife, Pam of Perry, OK, and Kevin McLarty of Tulsa, OK. Tom is also survived by his four grandchildren, Maylin Noteware, Lyte Noteware, Avery Hardy and Audrey Hardy and several nieces and nephews.
