Tracy Deken Turner passed away peacefully Thursday August 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, at the early age of 49. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah October 24, 1971. She grew up in a Navy family living the typical nomadic life; but eventually settling down in Ventura, CA, where she graduated from Ventura High School. She enlisted into the United States Navy where she spent 4 years as an Aviation Maintenance Administrator 3rd class (AZ). Stationed at Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, Naval Air Station South Weymouth, MA and Fixed Wing Maritime Patrol Squadron 66, VP-66, at Naval Air Station Willow Grove, PA. Tracy eventually became a permanent resident in Perry to cultivate family bonds. Once established in Perry, she put herself through school, graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business. In Perry she was employed by the Dept. Of Child Welfare where her big heart and motherly instincts could be used to help the children and families of Noble County. During her tenure at DHS Tracy felt her heart strings being pulled by the many children she assisted in her duties. She would go on to foster several children over the years and eventually adopt five of the children she was fostering. She happily returned to her full-time role as Mom, doting on her children until her final day.
Preceding Tracy in death were her Mother Sally Vee Moore Deken Johnson, her Sister Janice Deken. She is survived by her Father James "Jim" Deken and children Patrick H. Turner and his girlfriend Sarah, Riley W. Turner, Elizabeth A. Turner and her adoptive children, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Mason, Brooklyn, and Emily Turner.
Tracy enjoyed the fellowship of Perry Church of the Nazarene, quilting, knitting, crafting, and reading. But most of all she loved being a Momma.
