Trisha Gaye Bazzell, lovingly known as “Nana” to her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on
March 17, 2026, at Norman Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Trisha was born in Denison, Texas, to Robert and Georgia Binderim. She grew up in a military
family and lived in various places throughout her childhood such as Kansas, Florida, Okinawa,
France and Ohio, before eventually making her home in Perry, Oklahoma, where she resided for
46 years.
Trisha spent most of her years raising her two daughters, a role she took great pride in, before
later working at Perry Memorial Hospital. She was known for her friendly smile and strong work
ethic, but nothing meant more to her than her family.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She talked about them every chance she got, always so
proud of who they were and what they were doing. She loved being there for their activities and
sports, but just as much, she loved the simple moments spent together.
Trisha loved reading, playing dominos, walking, and spending time with friends, family, and her
dogs. She enjoyed time at the lake, trips to the beach, and being in Colorado with her family. She
was funny, thoughtful, and silly—especially with her grandchildren—and those moments will be
remembered and cherished.
She was a member of the XI Epsilon Rho Club and attended First Presbyterian Church of Perry.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, David Bazzell; her daughters, Lacy
Dvoracek and husband Dusty of Norman, Oklahoma, and Brittany Faison and husband Clay of
Avon, Colorado; her cherished grandchildren, Jaxson Dvoracek (16), Hudson Dvoracek (13),
Sloane Dvoracek (9), Fiona Faison (7), and Birdie Faison (4); her niece, Angela Broadrick and
husband Chris and their children, Cindy and Drake; and her nephew, Aaron Drake and his wife
Allison and their children, Jennings and Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgia Binderim; her sister, Cindy Drake
and her brother, Eric Binderim.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian
Church of Perry.
Trisha will be deeply missed and forever loved.
