Virginia Richardson a resident of Perry, OK passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Perry. She was 84 years old.
Virginia was born on December 16, 1930 three miles south of Lucien, OK to Hurley Clifford and Amy Viola Nelson Snyder. She attended Harmony Grade School, south and east of Lucien, for eight years. She then attended Orlando High School for four years and graduated with the class of '48.
She then went to work in 1949 for the Perry Daily Journal as a teletype operator. Later she went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator. She transferred to Odessa, TX on February 14, 1952. She married James Alvin Richardson. They Divorced in 1979.
She worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Odessa, TX and Oklahoma City for 24 years. After retirement she worked for McDonalds in Perry for four years.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Dowell of Perry, OK; three sister-in-laws, Betty Snyder, June Snyder and Lorraine Snyder; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond, Bob, and Lawrence (Pud) and one sister Velma Collier.
Services are currently pending. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Lucien in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.
