Wayne Keating, former longtime resident of Perry, passed away Christmas Day, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 83.
Wayne was born November 20, 1931 in the family home at Perry, the son of J.R. Keating and Margaret Maggie Sisk Keating. Wayne attended the Perry Schools and was a wellknown farmer in the Perry area for many years. He was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry. His enjoyments were his farming, coffee shop talk at Mr. Cs, playing pool and his many pet dogs throughout his years.
He is survived by numerous devoted nieces and nephews two sistersinlaw, Arlene Keating and Vera Keating numerous lifelong and new friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents two infant siblings, Patsy Keating and Tommy Keating three brothers, Bill, Bob and Jack Keating three sisters, Grace Keating Franklin, Gladys Keating Mears and Geraldine Keating Young three nephews, Billy Mears, Pat Keating and Jimmy Keating one great nephew Jamie Patel and Waynes devoted pet dog Hattie.
Wake services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Perry, Oklahoma. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 also at St. Rose of Lima. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the BrownDugger Funeral Home of Perry.
Casket bearers are David Keating, Larry Keating, Walter Young, Joe Young, Dennis Young and Robert Keating. Honorary casket bearer is Jerry Keating.
Memorial contributions may be sent in lieu of flowers to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Building Fund, 421 North 9th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
