Zelma Rupp

Zelma Faye Rupp of Perry, OK passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Perry Memorial Hospital at the age of 87 years, 6 months, & 19 days. Zelma was born in Perry September 01, 1933 to the late John Edgar Melton & Mary Arminta League.

Zelma made Noble county her home all of her life. Zelma attended and graduated from Perry High School. On May 25, 1951 Zelma married the love of her life Richard Rupp a union that would last 58 wonderful years.

Zelma was a caregiver & a homemaker. Zelma at the age of 9 began taking care of her siblings. Zelma carried on this tradition of caring for others by babysitting her grandchildren, & cooking and baking for church dinners. Zelma was famous for her cinnamon rolls & her macaroni & cheese.

Zelma was active in the Lutheran Church where she volunteer anytime she was needed. Zelma was a member of WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.) for many years.

Zelma leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter: Mary Weinkauf & husband Bob of Perry; Brother:    Garland (Tony) Melton of Perry; Grandchildren: Bobijo Weinkauf, Beki Gibson & Matthew Weinkauf & wife Chelsea; Great-Grandchildren: Renzi Nelson, Teague Nelson, Arelia Gibson & Wyatt Weinkauf. Zelma was preceded in death by: Parents: John Melton & Mary League; Sisters: Dorene Snider & Shirley Webb; Grandson: Justin Wein

Funeral Services to honor the life of Zelma Faye Rupp will be held on Thursday (3/25) at 10am at the Zion Lutheran Church east of Perry with Pastors Peter Olsen & Dan Thimell officiating. Interment will be on Monday (3/29) at 10am in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

The family invites everyone to please stop by the funeral home on Wednesday Evening from 4pm - 8pm to share memories of Zelma. Services are entrusted to the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry.
