Christopher Lamb

May 24, 1969 — December 5, 2022

Perry

To fly west is a flight we all must take for a final check as Christopher Alan Lamb took that flight west on December 5, 2022. He was born May 24, 1969, to David and Betty Lamb and graduated from Yukon High School in 1990. Chris was known for his laugh and playing country music especially Garth Brooks and George Strait. Chris loved fireworks and bonfires and good times with friends. His love of aviation led him to obtain his pilot's license in 1992. From then on, he found any reason he could to fly.

Chris could be seen flying his powered parachute over Perry, Oklahoma as he'd take friends for a bird's eye view of the local terrain while little kids waited years before they weighed enough to ride the powered parachute, which was a rite of passage for many. Chris willingly shared his passion for flying with everyone he could, and he was always delighted in showing "first timers" the beauty of cities at night and the breathtaking view of the land where we live. He loved sunrises and sunsets from his seat in the cockpit. Viewing Christmas lights from the sky became a yearly tradition. Chris loved flying to Colorado where he enjoyed the snow, the fresh mountain air and driving his Jeep in the mountains.

Chris spent the past 6 years living his best life with his fiancé Nicholas where he built a home in Perry, Oklahoma and they have enjoyed entertaining friends. Chris was the owner and operator of Advantage Auto Glass and subsidiary company Advantage Signs. He first started with Advantage Auto Glass where he started replacing windshields in 1998 and then making signs and billboards later in the years. Over the years of his life, Chris spent countless hours growing his business and leaving business cards everywhere he went. His latest job was doing signage on the Love's and Arby's in Perry, Oklahoma. He also replaced Taco Mayo signs all over Oklahoma as well as Security Finance. When he wasn't working, he loved to get away on trips to various destinations such as Colorado and Florida. Chris declared he would have a job that allowed him to travel and his dream to travel became his reality. He loved going on cruises with his fiancé, Nicholas, and his dad although Chris' biggest ambition was to travel to space one day.

Chris is survived by his fiancé, Nicholas, and he was an only child and his parents preceded him in death. He has extended family in Texas. Chris left behind many friends whom he considered family. Please remember to wave to our dear friend, Chris, next time you fly high in the sky. Please donate to an aviation program of your choosing to support future pilots.
