Dustin Kroll

d. June 8, 2019

Dustin "Dusty" Holt Kroll was born November 6, 1976 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Perry, OK to Nicky and Georgianna Kroll and passed away June 8, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Dusty's education was received in the Garber School system. He attended Northeastern A&M College for one year. After college he returned home to Garber and continued farming with his dad and granddad. Dusty was a fifth generation farmer who grew up on land passed down through his family.
Dusty was baptized in the Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church and later confirmed by Pastor Hein. He participated in the church youth group. In school Dusty participated in FFA in which he was an officer for three years and received his State Farm Degree. He was a member of the football team and received "co-offensive lineman" of the year in 1994. He also was state runner-up in the discus in 1995. His classmates voted him "wittiest" for three years in a row.
Dusty enjoyed the family vacations to Las Vegas with grandparents and cousins every summer while growing up. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting with his family and friends. He had a very special relationship with all his nieces and nephews - sharing his laughter and wit.
Surviving Dusty are Travone Robinson-Kroll, Nicky and Georgianna Kroll, Paula (Kroll) Wickham and husband Brian, Jamie (Kroll) Klusmeyer and husband Shelby, and Barbara Holt. Nieces and nephews are Austin and Maggie, Zac, Tyler, Jordan, Jayden and Julia, Taylor, Davontye, and Djon. Great nieces and nephews are Dawson, Remi, Journey, Hardy, and Jameson. Aunts and uncles are Deanne and Teddy Bentz, Monty and Marilyn Kroll, Terry and Mike Tatro, and Cindy Jones. Great-Uncle and aunts are Joyce Moody, Louise Holt, and Judd and Cleo Kopp, as well as numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Kroll grandparents, Clarence and Gay Kroll, known to Dusty as "Granddad and Grandma Gay," Grandpa Paul Holt, and niece Rylea Jean Powell.
Everybody who has ever met Dusty has a "Dusty story" so please keep that memory of our loved one.
#1 Grandson will be laid to rest next to his Grandpa Holt in the Billings Union Cemetery. Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 at the Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church. Casual dress is requested. Memorials may be made to the Garber Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber Fire Department or the Garber FFA. Viewing will be at the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber on Wednesday and Thursday.
Dusty was somebody who'd bale a family together with soft strong bonds of sharing, who'd laugh and then sigh...and then respond with smiling eyes, when he says he wants to spend his life "doing what his dad does." So God made Dusty a farmer!
