Geraldine Gerry Alstrom, 76, of Martinsville, Virginia, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Wilbur and Mildred Robbins Parsons. She was born December 3, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and died Monday, November 12, 2012 at her residence in Martinsville, Virginia. Gerry married her best friend and sweetheart, Kenneth Kenny Arnold Alstrom on September 16, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. Kenny preceded her in death on December 11, 2003. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and reading but her most of all she loved spending time with her loving family. Gerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Aaron Summers will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Gerry is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Campbell and her husband, Darrell of Ridgeway, Virginia, Susan Pankhurst and her husband Steve of Perry, Oklahoma four grandchildren, Tyler Burkett of Perry, Oklahoma, Shannon Baker and her husband, Josh of Spencer, Virginia, Susan Williams and her husband, Chris of Ridgeway, Virginia and Trey Campbell of Ridgway, Virginia four great grandchildren, Harlee Atkins of Ridgeway, Virginia, Daniel Baker and Dustin Baker of Spencer, Virginia, Kenneth Atkins of Ridgeway, Virginia one sister, Barbara Norton and her husband , J.P. of Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kenny, her parents, Wilbur and Mildred Parsons.
