Ned Armstrong

Ned L. Armstrong, 77, was born March 9, 1937 in Coodys Bluff, Oklahoma to Russell Carl and Ida Lorene Zimmerman Armstrong. He departed this life on March 23, 2014 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Ned attended high school in Delaware and received his teachers Associate Degree from Coffeyville, Kansas. He and Willa Jo Hoyle were married on December 22, 1990 in Hevner, Oklahoma. Ned served in the United States Navy and was owner of Armstrongs Income Tax Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, playing bridge, trips to the casino and traveling. Ned moved to Perry from Delta, Colorado, and resided in Perry for the last seven years. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. He is survived by his wife, Willa Jo, of Perry, Oklahoma stepsons, Gary Hayes and his wife, Clarene of Texas, and James Hayes of Florida twin brother, Ted Armstrong of Winnemucca, Nevada brother, Charles Armstrong of Bartlesville, Oklahoma two half brothers, Kenneth Harrison of Harker Heights, Texas, and Paul Harrison of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma one stepbrother, Joe Harrison of Midland, Texas half sister, Betty S. Harrison Taber of Perry, Oklahoma stepsister, Ann Radebaugh of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. Ned was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Armstrong and Lorene Armstrong Harrison stepbrother, Dub Harrison, and half brother, Richard Hudson.
