June 6, 1944 ~ December 3, 2022 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Mr. Noel Edward Blaser, Jr., long-time resident of Billings has passed away.  He was born in New Ulm, Minnesota to Helen and Noel Blaser Sr. on June 6, 1944.  He met Ms. Bonnie Dailey after graduation, while working on a farm in southern Minnesota and they were married soon after.  From this union came 3 children, Eileen, Ron and Kim.  JR worked as a Chevrolet mechanic when the kids were young and then became an over the road truck driver.  In late 1978 he married Bert Blaser of Billings and from this union he adopted 2 children, Carrie and John.  After retiring from driving, JR began tinkering with lawn mowers and tractors.  He had a gift of being able to repair almost anything.  He ran JR Mowing in Billings where he took care of many lawns. JR was also a gifted handyman who you could call on anytime you needed help.  These last few years he has worked at Tyson Foods in Enid, where he formed many special friendships.   He enjoyed watching the old black and white westerns especially Gunsmoke and has a soft spot in his heart for cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents Noel and Helen, wife Bert, and brother David Blaser.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss daughter Eileen Johnson and her husband Bruce of MN, son Ron Blaser and his wife Kelly of MN, daughter Kim Hitchcock and her husband Jamie of MN, grandson Zachary Nielsen and his girlfriend Ashely Jansen of MN, granddaughter Emily Nielsen and her boyfriend Luke Harrison of MN, daughter Carrie Stewart and her husband Stan of KS, son John Blaser of KS, grandson Tanner Lott and his wife Marissa of FL, granddaughter Stantanna Stewart from KS, grandson Stan Stewart, III of KS, granddaughter Stanielle Stewart and her boyfriend Mick Ball of KS, great grandchildren Briella Stewart and Lincoln Lott of KS, sister Jeannie Reiner of MN, sister Pat Baas and her husband Roy of LA, niece Jessica Bass, niece Ashley Brendemuel and her husband Mark, Bonnie Blaser, special friends Bob and Fern Johnson and Sassy the cat.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at the Dugger Funeral Home of Billings on Thursday, December 15, 2022 beginning at 10 a.m.  because JR worked 2nd shift and many of his friends may have a hard time attending, we have extended the service time to include a reception for fellowship after the memorial service until 5 p.m.  Friends are welcome to stop by the funeral home after the service to visit with his family.
