Patricia Grubb

January 29, 1936 — December 26, 2021

Garber, Oklahoma

Patricia Ann Grubb born January 29, 1936 to Myrtle Edith Conaway Loveland and Ival Rosco Loveland in Oklahoma City during a snow storm, passed away on December 26, 2021. She passed peacefully in her home blessed with the joy of experiencing the love of family and friends over the preceding hours, days and weeks through visits and phone calls prior to her passing

Patricia “Patsy Ann” was married September 15, 1954, to Forrest Wayne Grubb.  They were married 67 years.  They were blessed with four children: Karen Denise Grubb, Kevin Wayne Grubb, Theresa Grubb Horton and Alan Jeffrey Grubb. Patricia worked for many years for the local physician, Dr. George H. Soper until his retirement.  She performed all manner of jobs from running the office, nursing, assisting with house calls and cleaning the clinic. She graduated from Hamilton Kansas High School and was blessed to enjoy those friendships forged then throughout her life and attended the annual class reunion until 2 years ago.  She loved photography and geology as well as astronomy. She shared these hobbies with her son Alan for many years. An avid gardener, she could grow anything.  Tomatoes were her specialty and one of the ingredients in her famous spaghetti sauce that made it so good. Baking, fishing, growing flowers, exploring mountains.  These were a few of her hobbies.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She never backed down from an adventure.  She said once that if she didn’t visit Colorado annually, she couldn’t breathe. Crocheting, the Texas Rangers, chickens, the Yankees, chocolate sheet cakes, these were ways she spent her time.  But the most important part of her day was her family. No woman has ever loved her family more.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Anyone who has been in the home will fondly remember all the wonderful smells from her kitchen. She loved all who came to the house and treated them as her own, always offering food, which is the comfort of our family and her manner of showing her love to all.

She is survived by her spouse Forrest “Frosty” Wayne Grubb, son Alan Jeffery Grubb, daughter Theresa Grubb Horton, daughter-in-law Penny Grubb, grandchildren: Tristan Dahl. Trinity Dahl White and her husband Wes, Jonathan Dahl and his wife Dana, Joseph Horton, Patsy Ann Judd and her husband Mitch, Ashley Grubb, Devon Grubb, Travis Grubb and wife Darian, and Christine Kay.  Great grandchildren include Alec and Kinlie Judd, William and Addelyn White, Doninic Dahl, Brandt and Xander Grubb, and Pierce Tebbe.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Denise Grubb, son Kevin Wayne Grubb, mother Myrtle Edith Conaway Botkin, stepfather Frederick Earl Botkin, III, father Ival Rosco Loveland, brother Hoyt J. McCurry and sister Joan Madsen.

Friends and family are welcome to stop by the funeral home at 401 Arapaho Street in Garber on Monday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. or on Tuesday morning from 8 until noon to pay their respects and sign her guest book.

Graveside services will officiated by minister Don Todd and will be held at Garber Cemetery on Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Casket bearers for the service include Joseph Horton, Tristan Dahl, Alec Judd, Devon Grubb, Travis Grubb, Mitch Judd, Wes White, and Jonathan Dahl.
